16th Noma Concours Painting
Ahhh.. here goes. The paintings that i sent to Japan last year. As you know from the previous post i posted, the winner is from Costa Rica.
Ok ok? hehehe.. The painting will be sent back to me by Feb 2009.
This painting of mine was done by using Watercolor Gouache, Acrylics and Color pencils. This story is called “The Wonderful Land”.
Here is the storyline ( my bf also helped me with the story line.
)
In a very deep forest, exist a land full of wonders with colors so bright it can mesmerize, even hypnotized its visitor to feel the happiness surrounding the land, which we named the Wonderful Land.
As we enter their world, we can see shades of rainbows colored-flowers engulfing the Land. Inside the flowers lived the Land’s “little people”. These “people” will help spread the flowers’ fragrances that can make you feel relax and calm. These flowers will sway and swerve to the sound of the winds as if they are dancing to the beat of the winds.
Walking through the forest, we can see trees that talk, smile and laugh. But there is none like the Majikku Ki. It is a magical tree that makes your wish come true, heal you, share your thoughts and keep your secrets buried so deep into the ground that no creature is able to recover it.
Deep within the forest, there lies the Majikku Garden. A garden rich with sweet and tasty fruits, when plucked from the trees, it grows back immediately. Inside the garden, you will hear a very strong owl-like sound yet soothing. A magical flying bird called the Giant Tori echoes this symphony. These giant birds can cover the whole garden when they flap their wings. Toris will constantly glide themselves, circling the garden and will only swoop down when they hear a whistle. These magical birds will bring you anywhere your heart desires.
Its time to say goodbye my friend. There are more wonderful land you can see – in your imagination. Keep your imagination alive and believe that they all do exist in our real world!
